Xiaomi has launched a mid-range tablet with a powerful processor and a high display refresh rate, which is hard to find in any other tablet in this price range, and this is what sets this tablet apart from others. In this review, we'll see if Xiaomi was able to prove itself with the Pad 5, a mid-range Android tablet.
Design
The Xiaomi Pad 5 has a metal frame. A glass screen is visible in the front, and a polycarbonate sheet is visible in the back. The display is made of Gorilla Glass 3, which does not attract fingerprints easily. When held horizontally, we can see two speakers on the right and left sides. On the top is a magnetic connector for the smart pen, and on the bottom are three connecting pins for the keyboard. The power and volume buttons are located in the upper left corner. It has a premium appearance and weighs 511 g, which I found a little heavy. It is not designed to be used with one hand, and adding a keyboard makes it heavier, despite the fact that it appears to be an ultra thin laptop. And I recommend that you remove all of these items whenever you play games.
Software and specifications
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SOC, which was announced in 2021, is used in the Xiaomi Pad 5. It is a more powerful version of the Snapdragon 855 SOC, which was announced in 2019. When it comes to the network, it has 4G/5G as well as WiFi, Bluetooth, and a USB Type 3 port, but it lacks a 3.5 mm jack. This table may have an 8720 mAh battery that supports 33 watt fast charging, but the Xiaomi box shows a 22.5 watt charger. The MIUI version on the Xiaomi Pad 5 is a customized version of MIUI 13.0.5 based on Android 11. The Xiaomi Pad 5 includes a wide range of tablet-friendly customization options.
